Playlists & Play Queue
Learn how to use playlists and the play queue to organize and watch videos continuously.
Playlists & Play Queue
Vid Receipts includes two ways to organize your video watching: the Play Queue and Playlists.
Play Queue
The play queue is a temporary list of videos you want to watch next. It's available to all users — including those on the Free tier.
- Add videos to the queue from any video page using the playlist menu
- Auto-advance — when a video ends, the next one starts automatically
- Controls — shuffle, repeat (off, all, one), skip forward/back
- Persistent — your queue is saved even if you close the browser
The queue appears as a sidebar panel on the video page. Toggle it with the queue button or press Q on your keyboard.
Playlists
Playlists are permanent collections of videos stored in your account. Unlike the queue, playlists are saved indefinitely and can be shared with others.
Note: Creating playlists requires a paid plan (Individual Pro or higher). Free users can still use the play queue.
- Create playlists from the Playlists tab in your dashboard or from any video page
- Add videos to existing playlists via the "Add to playlist" menu on video pages
- Play All — load an entire playlist into your queue and start watching
- Manage — rename, delete, or remove individual videos from playlists
Quick Start
- Navigate to any video page
- Click the playlist menu icon (⊕) next to the video
- Choose "Add to Queue" for immediate watching, or select a playlist to save it
- Open the queue panel (Q key or click the queue icon) to see and control your queue
- Visit the Playlists tab in your dashboard to manage all your playlists
